Karin Rainho
Registered and Licensed Occupational Therapist
Karin is a pediatric Occupational Therapist with over 15 years of experience specializing in Aquatic Therapy. After earning her Master's degree from Sacred Heart University, she founded Sea Stars Therapy, LLC in Charleston, South Carolina, where she provided individualized aquatic therapy for children with a wide range of physical and neurological needs. She later partnered with Tri-County Therapy before returning home to Connecticut.
Throughout her career, Karin has developed adapted swim programs for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, trained YMCA swim instructors across Connecticut, and mentored therapists and students in aquatic therapy. Today, as the founder of Healing Waters, LLC in Milford, CT, she is passionate about helping children thrive through the healing power of water.
Karin believes water has a unique ability to nurture the mind, body, and soul, which continually brings her back to the pool. Her mission is to raise awareness of the life-changing benefits of aquatic therapy while providing compassionate, individualized care. Through a creative and holistic approach, she tailors every treatment to meet each child's unique strengths, helping them build confidence, independence, and meaningful lifelong skills.

Dymond Leroy
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Dymond Leroy is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Sacred Heart University and her Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from Mercy University. She has been practicing as a COTA for four years, with experience in home health, geriatrics, and aquatic therapy.
Dymond fell in love with the powerful benefits of water during her junior year of college and has been exploring its possibilities ever since. She loves helping children build confidence, independence, and new skills in a fun and supportive environment. She also enjoys partnering with families and helping them feel empowered to advocate for their children’s needs.
